Dear Community Members,

We hope the letter finds you well. We would like to take this time to update you on the Deadwood Community Center(DCC) and Deadwood Creek Services(DCS).

Third Saturday is happening again with food and music every third Saturday of the month. Potluck starts at 6:30 and music at 7:30. Please bring food to share and money donations to give. If anyone is interested in cooking a meal for this event please contact the Board. DCS will cover the costs of this. 

Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 13th at the DCC. Community Potluck at 5pm, followed by meeting at 6. This is a great time to visit with neighbors and find out all the happenings in the community. We will also be voting in new members for the board. We encourage all to come and take part in this meeting. 

Last spring, DCS received a grant from Mapleton Community Foundation to build an outdoor structure. Although we did not get to complete the project this summer, we hope to continue in the future. We did add shade structures to the playground area. 

These past few years have been challenging times for everyone. We have managed to operate as a board (Deadwood Creek Services) without having all of our members. We will be seeking new board members to join our current members and complete the board. 

Although our meetings, projects and events have been sporadic during these times, we are feeling positive moving forward. We have ideas for new projects and activities to enhance the community and the DCC. We continue to need the support of the community, both financially and physically. We are all in this community together and it takes everyone to make it a thriving place.
